about

Misha Marks grew up in the wilds of NZ’s West Coast, near Karamea. After spending formative time in Christchurch and Wellington he embarked on life as an international journeyman. From time in the U.K and Spain he was drawn to Mexico City where he has been based for the better part of the last decade. Now firmly embedded in the Mexican improvised and experimental music scenes as a guitarist, he also performs regularly on brass instruments and travels throughout the country collaborating with such leading Mexican innovators as Don Malfon, Gibrán Andrade and Carlos Alegre.
This album was recorded and produced in Mexico and sees Misha presenting his evolved language of extended techniques, sound – noise ratios and an incredible intuition for melodic and structural improvisation.
